The singer who broke onto the scene 17 years ago as the so-called anti-Britney Spears continues to knock the world off its feet.
P!nk, born Alicia Moore, released “What About Us,” the lead single from her upcoming seventh studio album, “Beautiful Trauma.” She announced the album will be released October 13.
“I could not be more excited,” Moore wrote on Instagram. “I’m certifiably, insanely proud of this album.”
This will be the singer’s first album since 2012’s “The Truth About Love.” The album peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 and went to sell over 2 million copies in the United States. It spawned three top-ten singles, including “Just Give Me a Reason,” the singer’s fourth number-one hit.
“What About Us”, an electro-pop infused power song, contains uplifting lyrics about unity in the face of disaster, made not only Moore proud, but also her fans. They took to Twitter early Thursday to celebrate the release of her single and its power.
“It’s been a while, and I’m grateful for all the years we’ve had,” Moore wrote. ” [I’m] looking forward to the next chapter with you.”
